Requirements

The undergraduate minor in Medieval Studies consists of 18 semester hours of courses from the approved list.

  • Courses must be taken at least three different areas (e.g. Eng, Span, Germ)
  • 15 hours must be in an area different than the student’s major.
  • Each student must take a 3-hour “gateway.”
    • To satisfy this requirement, they have two options: Hst 309 or Eng 316/Mlll 375.*
    • This course is required, but it is not a prerequisite for other medieval studies courses.
    • If a student has taken one gateway course, they can take the other gateway course, and it will count toward the remaining 15 hours.
